    Alternate Directions Part 1

    1. Draw a dot in the center of your paper
    2. Add 6 simply wavy lines from the dot to the edges of the paper
    3. In every other space draw convex lines starting in the center about 1” apart to the edge of paper.

    PART 2 WEEK 8’s directions to Finish Op Art Web Design

    1. In the empty  spaces draw concave lines starting in the center about 1” apart to the edge of paper. The opposite way of last week’s spaces 
    2. Choose 2 colors, and color in the Curved out (convex) sections skipping spaces.

    Design your own sneaker

    Materials: Sketchbook or white paper, markers, crayons.

    Directions: Pretend you are a designer for a famous Sneaker company or an Artist who hand paints sneakers and sells them online, what kind of sneaker would you design?  Maybe a Patriotic sneakers? Or a Spring sneaker with flowers and bees?  You can try a Zentangle in black and white or a pattern?  Your favorite sports team? A video game sneaker? Maybe a Superhero sneaker or Disney sneaker? Use the attached templates to design and color in your sneaker.

     

    Please look at the attached video and sneaker templates and samples.

    Your Choice Sketchbook Drawing

    Materials: Sketchbook or white paper, markers, crayons.

    Directions: Choose one of the following ideas:

    Sketchbook Ideas

     

    • Pretend that you are an ant . How would the world look? Draw it
    • Draw your favorite toy, stuffed animal, or video game character.
    • Create your very own candy.  Design a wrapper for it.

    Combination Animals

    Materials: Sketchbook or white paper, markers, crayons.

    Directions: Think about 2 animals that have unique features, then try to combine them to create 1 animal.  Maybe a giraffe’s head on an alligator's body? Or a Panda bear’s head on a Camel’s body? An Elephant's head on a Flamingo’s body?

    CrazyWacky Hats

    Materials: Sketchbook or white paper, markers, crayons.

    Directions: Think about the most crazy/outrageous Hat you can imagine!  Is it an outer space hat?  Will it hold your hamster? Is it made out of ice cream?   Hold all your sports equipment? A surfer’s hat? A hat full of snacks? 

     

    Draw your hat inside your sketchbook, if you made one or on white paper just be sure to keep your projects together.

     

    Please look at the attached video and samples, I also included a hat template with the samples if you would like to print it and add your ideas to it.
